Hi,

Back to 15mm world in form of a Canadian Rifle company commission.

I remember seeing lots of photos Commonwealth soldiers wading in high grass or fields for Normandy. That was the main insipiration for the Rifles' bases. To get some distinction between the platoons I further "developed" the idea and decided to have one platoon wading very high grass in middle of the field following some tank tracks. To make another platoon having reached a dirt trail on opposite side of the field and the final platoon advancing at the edge of the field near hedgerow. Now the "specialties" (tank tracks, dirt trail) don't come out too well in the pictures. Maybe I didn't succeed on them as well as I thought I had before taking the photos Confused

Enjoy nevertheless!

HQ with snipers:

Rifle Platoons:

Heavy support:

Something looks funny you say? Yes, no guns! They weren't part of the commission so no guns in these pictures.

If you want more pictures of the units check my gallery. The link is in my signature.

Sincerely,

-ajh

Lovely-looking figures. The grass idea was brilliant, and well executed to boot.

Brilliant painting and basing is just superb.

I think you have captured the drab green of the Canadian uniform really well also.

However, Im not sure about these new sculpts by Battlefront, I really did prefer their older Brit figures.

Cracking job, lovely bases and well formed and posed groups too.

Too small for me old eyes to tell so I couldn`t tell if they were green enough to be honest. Embarassed

love the bases - the infantry walking through is good - but the gunless gun teams take the prize IMHO

thanks
