Here are two photos of my Fallschirmjägers that I'm working on. I took some more photos but they didn't turn out too good so for now it will only be these two.

The Fallschirmjägers are not intended to belong to a specific unit but rather to be generic for the 1944-1945 period of the war, both fronts.

Tonight I've based them. Most of these are resin but there are also some plastic ones. They fit very well together without looking odd next to each other. The MIG figures are a bit taller than the FCM and Milicast ones (who look like they came from the same artist which is great) but nothing extraordinary outside of human height variation. I turned the heads of the MIG fiures since I discovered that this makes the figures look more alive than if they look straight forward. I will add some brass Gew 43 and MP 44 to these figures since the resin weapons are the most frail part on these, especially if it is not placed close to the figure or in a vertical angle.

Back row: Revell, Revell, Orion, Milicast and FCM.
Middle row: Milicast, Milicast, FCM, FCM and Revell.
Front row: Milicast, MIG, MIG, Milicast and MIG.

The MIG Panzerschreck and Faustpatrone are from Attack. The MIG machinegunner and the Panzerschreck gunner has their left arms from a CMK accessory kit.

MIG figure with Faustpatrone next to a Revell figure. Behind them are two FCM figures. Ignore the flesh painting one those since it needs to be redone.

Feedback is welcome.

Regards

Your FJ are coming along nicely.
I think the different makes go well together.

I also tend to avoid painting specific units. I like to be able to slot figures into a game as needed and have the widest variety of opponents.

Very interesting Arvaker. I can't wait to see them painted up I think that will unify the lot and minimize any differences. It's cool that you have made a whole unit out of odds and ends. I bet this will become one of your favourite units once finished just for that same reason.

I love the conversion work. I am also in the process of putting together a FJ force for Normandy. I've always been quite fond of Airborne forces.

This is a nice treat. Smile

Your conversions look great! The plastic guys seem harder to me to convert...especially when you start trimming the plastic...you gotta watchout for all those little tiny plastic hairs...those should all work out real nice when they are painted up...It takes awhile to do those types of conversions...but in the end you will have some really nice looking unique figuires.
