There was a very good scenario in Miniature Wargames a couple of years back of "Leopard" the assault on Leros. That had OOBs set out for Command Decsion, I`m sure it included those Bandenburger units, I`ll have a look for you.

Got a good book on the Brandenburg Division at home, but cant remember whats in it!! Confused ......I will have a butchers when I get home.

There is a book by Franz Kurowski called The Brandenburgers Global Mission published by J J Fedorowicz ISBN 0-921991-38-X.I picked up my copy from Caliver Books.It 's a good read on this unit

piers this was posted on my TO&Es group after i asked on it for you and couple other sites/forums..

"Kommando: German Special Forces of World War Two" by James
Lucas. Originally published in Great Britain by Arms and Armour Press,
republished in the US. Date of publishing 1985. No specific information is
available, although operations were mentioned for November 1944 on page 236.

Page 110 does give the organization of the 500th SS Parachute Bttalion in 1944.

I've got the theoretical TO&E of the Kustenjager and will post it tomorrow. As I recall from Rogers' book on Leros, they operated somewhat below strength, especially in boats. I've got a book by Trojca on order, and will update you when it arrives.
No info on the FJ company, unfortunately, but again, Rogers is a good source, so maybe he has something- won't be able to check that until the weekend though.

The Brandenburg Regiment, October 1940

1st Battalion
Depot: Brandenburg/Havel
Operational Area: Eastern and Western Europe
Companies: Nos. 1 through 4

2nd Battalion
Depot: Baden bei Wein
Operational Area: Southeast Europe
Companies: Nos. 5 through 8

3rd Battalion
Depot: Dыren - near Aachen
Operational Area: Western Europe
Companies: Nos. 9 through 12

By mid-January 194x, Companies Nos. 13 to 17 had been raised and taken
on strength.


The strength of a Para Engineer Battalion fluctuated during the course
of the war and the numbers given here are those for Africa 1942.

Personnel: 716 all ranks
Weapons Establishment: 36 light machineguns
8 medium machineguns
12 anti-tank rifles
12 flamethrowers

The Light Engineering Column was equipped with large and 12 small
rubber boats.
