Here is how I did my jungle trees.
The Palm trees are from Realitic Wargames and the rest if from an aquarium decoration plant.

- I used hardboard (2mm thick or so) and cut them to shape with jigsaw.
- Sand the edges on the belt sander to lightly bevel them.
- I drilled holes to suit the trees & aquarium plant's diameters on the bases.
- I used PVA glue to stick the trees in place (Number 1 on picture below)
- I used heavily watered down PVA glue and brush the entire base of the jungle section then cover with sand (a little coarse sand). (Picture 2 and 3).
- I watered down some brown paint and cover all the base. (Number 2 on picture below)
- I highlight the base with GW bleachbone (sort of cream colour). (Number 3 on picture below)
- I heavily water down PVA and cover sections of the base then sprinkle static grass. (Picture 4 to 7)

Voilà.

Note the trees are actually sprayed with matt varnish to take the gloss away.

Picture 2: Jungle section sanded ready for painting. No matt varnish on those yet, you can see the difference.

Picture 3: Jungle section sanded ready for painting. This section will be an oasis Smile

Picture 4 & 5: Static grass applied on the left sections, in comparison without on the right.

Picture 6 & 7: All done apart from the 2 new bases.

Nice balance of foliage allows for plenty of figure movement.

Ah the expert didn't miss it Very Happy

Thanks for spotting and highlighting this Al. I did aim to have it spacious enough to easily have your units hidden in the terrain feature.
