Phil,
They're superb. The discrete weathering is a lovely touch.

One question - where have the vehicle number decals come from - those on the turret side and the lower hull side?

Bison Decals. I bought a couple of sets of their recce decal set. By a bit of cutting and pasting I was able to come up with two sets of numbers applicable to AECs.

Love the weathering. Thanks for the "how to" on the tyres, will give that a go.

The finish looks just perfect to me! Confessed, the vehicles would not have been my choice, but your work is stunningly good! Shocked

Brilliant !! - currently looking for some AEC III's myself to put together a Heavy Troop for a British Armoured Car squadron circa 1944. Thought mine will not look as good as yours when there finished.

I can't paint tyres to save my life - If you don't mind I'll give your method a go as they are the best I have seen.

Be my guest - I'm just an amateur at this game, bumbling along as best I can, learning from anywhere and anyone I can - so I've no 'trade secrets' - if the way I've done anything is useful to you, feel free to use it.

Hello all,

Thought I'd take a leaf out of Thomas's book and convert one of the photos to B&W to see how it looks:
