Gorgeous! I love the understated colurs you are getting. What kind of paints and techniques are you using? Black undercoat?

Very, very clean painting style - I love it! Very Happy
Your vehicles are exceptionally good, as well. The HMMVEE could be 1/35 from that picture...

Very good looking miniatures. I'll second Olivier that your display method is very aesthetically pleasing. The head-swaps too (with the WW2 Free French too!).
One question about the Soviet Marines: how did you do the black uniform? It's about the hardest thing to paint.

Matt,

the top 8 pics consist of the great Esci Modern Russian Paratroopers Spetsnaz box, the bottom ones of the Esci Warsaw Pact Troops box. Plus he has cleverly swopped some heads (helmets for example between the boxes).

The Poles and East Germans consist of the Esci Warsaw Pact Troops (again AFAIK with some head changes).

The bottom pics consist of the Esci Modern U.S. Soldiers/Revell US Infantry and Esci NATO Troops, the Norwegians and Italians an interesting mix of Revell German Paratroops and Revell German Armoured Infantry.

BTW ... Great paint jobs! Well done!

Very inspiring!

Cheers

Jimo
