Love the photos! Thanks for posting.

The tarp, netting and roadwheel above the visor is all very inspiring.

Is that an MG34 attached to the side of 'Attacker?'

Not an MG34 but a Bren without a magazine fitted.

Glad you appreciate the photos.

The Bren was not just for show.... It was used repeatedly (along with No36 Grens) when the 90th joined in the advance toward Arnhem (Op Market Garden) when the guns often received the orders 'Guns 180' and had to turn about to deal with the road being cut by Jerry.

3 More photos of 'A' Troops vehicles.

Oh stop it...

Dad said when they moved into Germany the Sigs carrier shot into an old barn to set up home and A troop went into a firing line alongside the building. When they got their first rounds off - the roar was too much for the old barn and the tiles all slid off the roof burying it! You have to laugh.

Great Bob. Don't forget to show it on here when complete.

Its interesting (to me anyway...) how we as modellers tend to take great care when applying the markings to our models. We 'know' what convention and the rules are but often tend to ignore photo reference. If you look at the four or five vehicles shown here you can see the 'slap dash' approach to vehicle markings - Attacker II is a replacement vehicle (Attacker I had its drive sprocket removed by an 'SP' shortly after D-Day) and has no stars. Others have stars obliterating census numbers and most have no tac numbers. Some of 'E' Troops photos show 'inverted' Stars too.

Regards

Chris W

Inspirational pics - now I'm taken with E-troop and the stars on the front plate - perhaps i'll do one like that too.

Shame I have no decals for the census numbers Sad
