Here is the first of my pulp era figures. I am concentrating on gangland for the time being with some weird science items added in for flavor. Enjoy!!

Cops - These are Copplestone figs

Same cops, different angle

Gangster - Again, these are Copplestone

More Gangsters - Copplestone

Sleuths from Copplestone

This one is a comparison shot. The fig on the left is from Blue Moon's Named Gangsters set and the one on the right is Copplestone.

I really like the Blue Moon stuff. My local new game store owner had some and we looked at them. The base comes sculpted to the figure. I have more to paint up and when I do, I will post more pics.

Lastly, but not least, here are some robots from Rat Trap productions. They are the folks that make .45 Adventures.

Hope you enjoy!

Fantastic Work! I really Really like them all. Great painting.
My favs are the robots.

My only hesitation for full blown wow-ness is the grassy/rocky bases on some of the figs. For cops and robbers it seems a more urban base style, like the blue moon figs have, is more in order.

Thank you for sharing these cool pics. I look forward to seeing more.

Tom

That was very entertaining, nice to see the robots again (which reminds me I have to finish those someday as well) Love the numbering on them.

Got to check out this Blue Moon though, I like that fat...ehm.....guy, he looks just like a friend of me, though he has a bit more hair....barely.

I get what you are saying about the bases. I sculpted one urban base (the on that the Sam Spade figure is on) and it didn't come out as well as I would have liked. Plus, most of my pulp games so far have happened in the cit park or in the woods on the outskirts of town. Couple that with the fact that I have 3 boxes of Blue Moon stuff with urban bases and I felt the grass was fine. I still have 12 un-named gangsters, 11 named gangsters, 6 cops and 6 G-men from Blue Moon to go, so I will have plenty of both.

The Blue Moon stuff is really good. 12 figures with bases for $26.00 US is a great deal. They have a Highways and Byways line that has cars and trucks for the period taht look good as well. The pictures they have for the figures don't do them justice. If I hadn't seen some in person, I wouldn't have gotten any.

I love them....but not enough to pay 37 dollars shipping for a 26 dollar set of mini's. It could possibly be less but I'm not going to make an account just for the purpose of finding out how much the shipping will be, I hate making accounts all over the place. Sad

(Edit: Nevermind, just bought them through Warweb for 37 dollars including shipping....got to love sales)

Excellent, I look forward to seeing them painted up.

Great miniatures - I love those prohibition era guys very much. I´ve got about 60 or so in my cabinet now and all on grass bases, because I like to keep all my bases somewhat uniform. That makes it easier to recognize them when I take them out for gaming somewhere else and fit nicely to the most standard gaming tables in clubs, where grassmats are used. All my friends hate my bases for being that simple and share your opinion, that it does not fit figures designed for urban scenery games.
