Kellys Heros Nebelwerfer and crew, Frontline Opel Blitz, bits and bobs from spares box.

I have gone for a summer look with the crews wearing reed green denims.

I was origionaly going to have netting hanging from the tree as cover but, opted for the more hurried deployment from the back of a lorry.

Looks great. When I first scrolled down only saw top part of the picture. I couldn't figures out what an earth they have on that truck. A fence? Smile Well it came clear the next second.

What's up with that tree truck? The tree has lost all the bark at the bottom. Well looks like a big strong tree. It might survive.

So German trucks did have the cross on the door after all? I must have gotten a very scewed sample of WWII photos when I briefly looked into this few weeks back. Didn't see any crosses Shocked

Very nice job, Matt!

Ah bugger, I never noticed the tree, ah well, thats the pesky Normandy squirrel MkIV for you ;) The tree is from an old hedge section that fell appart.

Crosses on doors? Don't know, but I've seen plenty in Hollywood films and Holywood never lies Very Happy I'm sure somewhere one truck would of had a cross on the door.

That's the justification I have used number of times for number of odd things, too Very Happy If not historically accurate at least historically acceptable.

Hi all

It's the first time I've seen that green hue on german war clothing. Nice change. Can you tell us more about those clothes?
I asume Matt cunningly placed the gerry cross in the focal point of the vignette. Wink
If it's historical accurate: I don't know. But it looks good.

saludetes
