The forum today encountered a massive spike in activity that ate up all the space on the server.

It was shut down as an emergency procedure by the hosts (so everything is safe).

Now, we have to check all our scripts to check that its not an old programme error which suddenly kicked in or some other third party is bombarding the Guild with hits in order to get it shut down.

Whatever the reason (and it is too soon to say either way) we will get things fixed and back up hopefully sooner rather than later.

The hosting company are also looking at the problem.

All arrows point towards a module that is pinging the server and creating huge load spike..so may lose all the modules but not the forum and its content.
