Another joint project between Spike and I.

Having visited the Hillman strongpoint on each of my three battlefield tours of Normandy, I wanted to create the impression of it`s size and layout whilst applying the ratio of 1 to 3 ish in terms of weapons and even of course, the bunkers and cupolas.

I`ll explain later how to make this if you are interested ?

I will also post a game after action report of a recent game that christened this bit of kit when Al and Spike and I refought the assault on Hillman on D Day. Wink

No mate.

Because I`ve ratio`d this down, I`m happy with just one big bunker as a representation of the style of the two large bunkers.

If I was skirmishing on a 1 to 1 ratio I`d use yours, it is far better and much more a closer match to the real thing. I`m pushing it even this big. If you check out the R F D Day supplement and see how tiny Colin`s Hillman is, mine is mad by comparison. Having said that I`m using a ratio nearly twice that of the R F rules so it all works for me.

Truth is, with mine and Spike`s rules , you can play this a stand alone game as long as the model is large enough. Wink

Not specifically this, but a damned good resource for bunkers...
http://www.bunkers.be is a very useful site, as it has a listing of almost all bunker types built by the Germans in WW2. [/url]
