So me pics from a recent game... Between myself and The Chickster.

The Iranians got utterly massacred by the Iraqi Army... Only their heavy armour held up to the battering, the rest of the army was crushed by Saddam's finest!

I played the Iraqis, my chum Ruardhi got slaughtered as the Iranians... Its was revenge for the kicking my Pakistani army got off his Indians... But this was a real drubbing with some very fluky dice rolling on my part... By the end of the first turn I had managed to get troops into each of the objective towns and then promptly destroyed several of his battalions for reasonably light losses... Although his heavy stuff and Scorpion tanks proved very troublesome... Luckily the rest of the Iranian army was awful!

Was a good game and the first time we have used a 12 x 4 board.

That looks a most excellent game! Nice scenery too.

I'm getting withdrawal symptoms from not playing a 6mm game in ages.

Yup... The new house... Before sorting out... I have made a modular board so I can have 6 x 4, 8 x 6 or 12 x 4... Or even two 6 x4s!!! I could run a mini-tournament! Laughing

I only have a 6 x 4 up at the moment as Im in painting and play-testing mode and my wife and daughter are popping in and out frequently!

I have a nice painting/workspace at one end but the 12 x 4 dont leave alot of room for manouvre... Its ok for one off games but a pain to have up all the time. I will have to do some more pics of it when I have cleaned up a bit!

Way cool! As long as Saddam sticks to fighting Iranians, he should stand a chance.

Any thought of collecting Saudis?

Yer... I have everything else in 1/300th for them... Enough vehicle to do three motorised infantry units, artillery support and some A/Cs... Just lacking the tanks!

Will have to get round to ordering a few from H&R at some point.

My mate is working on a Soviet force and Im now working on a NATO one for our fictious '2nd Crimean War'... Laughing Well more a Soviet invasion of Turkey but Crimean War kinda sounds better!!! Wink We are hoping to field six Soviet Tank Battalions/Regiments (?) against a Turkish force with US and GB support units. Should be fun and a change from the awful Iraqi and Iranian command values! Twisted Evil

That is a fantastic looking game Piers! I used to do micro-scale some years back...I was in a league (I had the russian army)...we played Jagdpanzer rules...they are from the early 1980's...and excellent...still have an original copy in mint condition.

Looks like a fun game!
